         A lump
came to Dr Davenport’s throat as the blonde’s robe fell open revealing
her tantalising figure. Did this beautiful creature only have one thing
		in mind?
For Jonathan Davenport, a married scientist engaged in a mould-breaking
project, the dream rapidly becomes a nightmare. Tracey is found dead,
brutally stabbed, and images of the murder appear on the tape of Dr
		Davenport's experiments.

Immediately he is the prime suspect in a bizarre and horrifying mystery
where dreams become reality and videotape records scenes that never took
		place – or did they?

Read Robert Wassell’s ‘REM’ and discover the ultimate horror awaiting a
scientist who finds, like Dr Frankenstein, that his work has a life of
		its own....

							Well that was the
blurb on the back of the book, and what a book it
was.  Started in about 1994 and finished after
numerous breaks in 1997 and subsequently published
							by Minerva Press.
The book sold quite a few copies, it made money and it received
favourable reviews. It was last being proposed as an idea for a
film although the demise of Minerva effectively halted the progress
at the time and has since not been revisited.
			Its such a shame that
Minerva Press ended up getting such a bad
reputation and had to go into liquidation, who knows that may have
			become of it. |
