Writing is my first love. I love to tell stories - whether they are created from my imagination or telling the story of a person, or as per my latest projects - lighthouses.

I am a published novelist and writer. I have won competitions and had my work published world-wide.

'The Story of the Beachy Head Lighthouse' was published in April 2012 and is available via my dedicated Beachy Head Lighthouse site. 50% of the profits from the book were donated to the Save the Stripes campaign to help raise money to repaint the iconic lighthouse that stands at the base of the Beachy Head cliffs.

'The Story of the Belle Tout Lighthouse' was released in August 2011 and is available from my dedicated Belle Tout site.

Both books are also available from local outlets such as the Eastbourne Visitor Centre, Beachy Head Visitor Centre, Cuckmere Seven Sisters Country Park Visitor Centre and Birling Gap National Trust Visitor Centre and various outlets in Seaford.

Both books include fascinating information and pictures that very few people will have seen before, including experiences from former lighthouses keepers.

I have so much information that I was not able to fit it all into both books and I am currently working on a more definitive 'The History of the Beachy Head Lighthouses'. This will include this additional unseen information, genealogical information on the men who built the Beachy Head Lighthouse and some incredible rare photos.

I am also working on my next forthcoming novel - exciting times...

I have always had an interest in photography.

I am a professional photographer and have been published the world over in print, on the web and also appeared at the Tate. My photos have been used by TV, newspapers, magazines, film companies and fellow authors and writers.

Many years ago I was contacted by a fellow Wassell which gave me a wonderful opportunity to research my family history.

We've been able to trace our family history back to 1520 - Amazing!
